Bid You All Adieu...

I think it's safe to say that being here was nice while it lasted...but I have something I have to do for myself because writing is important to me and I want to make something of this. So being here is keeping me complacent and I rather not be...what I'm saying is I'm giving you a heads up and thinking of leaving The Kountry Klub because I have my own blog team with Mary aka Marerz WHICH you've may or may not have heard about--'HURRAH FOR CONCURRENCE'! I have only written one blog for this team, but I was planning on doing much more...there comes a time where you have to let go of something that's holding you back and I feel like this is, I don't have any bad blood with anyone here...I'm just saying this is the end of the road, it's my swan song!

"take me anywhere (wherever your going)"

So i've been listening to a lot of Anchor&Braille (http://www.purevolume.com/anchorandbraille) since the CD is FINALLY coming out...June 30!

Anyway, Stephen writes a couple lyrics that stand out to me. The first being "Take me anywhere (wherever your going)". I feel that, as Christians, we cry out to God telling him to "take me anywhere" but when He puts a calling on our hearts we turn away, too scared to do anything. For me, I was/am "called" to be a missionary in either India or Africa, maybe both. For 3 years a ran from this. I didn't want to be a missionary. I wanted to be rich. It wasn't until recently i learned that God has called me to do this, and only I can touch that one persons life their. If i run, who will step up.

I feel that this applies to everyone. Not everyone is called to be a missionary, but God puts everyone in situations that will benefit those around them, it all just depends on your attitude. Only you can touch that person on your school campus.

The other lyric that stood out was "robots keep rising, while the rest of us keep writhing." This, to me, was a call for action. I know i've already said this in a previous blog, but it is time for everyone, not just Christians, to stand up for what they believe. Stop being swayed by others opinions. Do research on what you believe so when someone asks you why, you can tell them. Stop being "spoonfed" everything, because one day those that you lean on wont be there anymore (leaving for college, moving, etc.).

Be Radiators,
Megan

Really Real blog #1

So, if you didn't know, Family Force 5 happens to be hilarious.

the end.

But really, these boys are CRAZY FUNNY! Isaac "Tub-o" Deitz, flimmaker and friend, has toured with Family Force 5 to make videoes on youtube.com, and they really show the hilarity(sp?) of the boys.

I've decided that every weekend, I'm going to review a really real, really real show blog. This one is Number ONE! Although most have you have seen them, you might have missed some things.

I'm going to review what the episode is about, ppoint out the parts that make me laugh the hardest, write down the funny memerable quotes, and post some veiwer comments.

Here we go!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l8_QKufMtQw

Review: Here marks the adventure of Soul Glow and...umm, err, I mean Crouton, no, wait, Soul Glow... well, whoever is the lead singer and the band. This is where we first meet the boys, in Chattanooga Tennessee, where we know each band member. This is the first time we get to see Crouton and Soul Glow in their active attept to be top dawg, learn that Fatty is an accountant, then a bassists, Chao Stique is a sweety, and Nadaddy is really bad at pull ups. We also get to meet Zip Loc, their old Tour Manager, and Xanadu, everyone's favorite and most gangster dancer ever. There is also a guest, The brother's Momma! The woman who fortunately raised our favorite band' o brothers!

Funny subtle points: -Right at the 0:08 mark, Chappy yells out "Noogie!", it's hilarious.

-at 1:11 Crouton sighs the funniest sigh I've ever heard, I crack up every time I hear it!

- at 1:30 Crouton attepts to close the door and it hits Souol Glow, you can here Tubo go "OH!"

- 2:38 Fattys phone goes off, the ring is "When the saints go marching in" haha!

- from 4:35- 4:37, Crouton falls, it's hilarious!

- 5:25 you can hear foot steps, by that you can tell Nadaddy isn't really doing pullups, whoch makes trhe fall at 5:54 even funnier!

- at 6:18 someone comes out of a room, and notices the camera, feels bad and goes back into the room so he doesn't mess up the shot!

- at 6:39 Crouton smells a shoe, not SUBTLE, but funny!

Famous RRS1 quotes: - Crouton: What are we doing, talking about the band or somethin? Cause I am the band.

-Crouton: I mean, Soul Glow he says, 'oh, oh, I'm a singer, I've been, I've been singin since I was 5' Soul Glow Activatur: I've beend singin' since, I don't know, I guess I was 5. Crouton: well you know what? I've been doing this since I was 3. He was 5 I was 3. So as far as I'm concerned, I'm the singer...*sigh*

- Mama Olds: Oh! A gold rose, to go with ma jacket!

- Soul Glow: C'mon, mom! Harp the Harold!

- Crouton: For the lsat time will you get that camera out of my mothers FACE!

-Fatty: I try not to give merchandise to my family, nothings free in this life, mom.

-Fatty: I'd more or less say I'm an accountant, not a a bass player.

-Nadaddy: Coolness...ready to rock your face off?

-Xanadu: I am the man, who drives the van.

Viewer Comments: surraaaahh89 says: " Family Force 5 are amazing guys. Fell in love with them and not about to fall out of love... I guess you can call me a LUV ADDICT! =D

ILUVTAIWTK says: 1:35 OH! A GOLD ROSE TO GO WITH MY JACKET!! You can[']t keep it tho[ugh]. [WH]Y?!?

menzerrss22: crouton "i am the band." silence......haha!

Family Force 5 Keeps Things Alive

Family Force 5 is a band that has made a huge BANG and they have been becoming quite popular because of their style of music and their zany attitudes. I can truly say that I'm happy for them because they deserve all the notoriety that they can get.
Even during the rising of fame, they still go to God which cometh our help because He's the only one who can take them farther than they already are. With their new CD "Dance Or Die" they have experimented with more of the rave-like, dance sound and being less clubby. They still hold true to their crunk beginnings with songs like "Get Your Back Off The Wall", but even that isn't as club as the songs from their debut album "Business Up Front/Party In The Back". As people may not understand, FF5 is a band who likes many types of music...so they mix elements of hip hop, 80s metal, alternative and many more but with utmost positive lyrics. By going mainstream like another Christian band called dc Talk doesn't deter their faith, it only makes them stronger. So if anyone says it's impossible to be in the mainstream and be a Christian band tell them to listen to a little Family Force 5, dc Talk, Relient K, and some Switchfoot. That right there will prove them wrong.
I hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it,

LIVELAVALIVE FOREVER.

Ever since Imoved to Germany, I got really into youtube videos. I watched a pluthera of videos from SxE Phil to RhettandLink (both REALLY good, btw.) But one day, I heard from a friend about LIVELAVALIVE. It was really hard living in Germany because I was just SO bored, I needed some good' ol American randomness-and this guy was it.
Ohio Native Mitchell Davis creates videos with crazy randomness. He is over the top, and way crazy! I couldn't help but to keep watching.
Mitchell is sometimes joined by his best buddy Kyle, and whenever they get together in a video it's a non-stop laugh fest from beggining to end.
Mitchell Davis is more than crazy and hilarious, this man is a real artist. He is such a talented photographor and filmmaker, it could outshine his famous youtube career.
No matter what Mitchell does with his life, I have a feeling we will always hear about him and his talent. LIVELAVALIVE will live forever.

Ghostride The Whip Lyrics

Almost every FF5 fan will say that this is their favorite song off of DODWAV...almost as many would say they have no idea what SGA is saying half the time. So thanx to Tania (@LasagnaF5C) we no longer have to make up our own, ridiculous lyrics. Enjoy :)

[CHORUS]I'm ghostridin'
Yeah I'm buckwildin'
Move out the way
Cuz there ain't nobody drivin'

Ghostride the whip
Yeah I'm dancin' on the hood
Ghostride the whip
Shawty knows I'm lookin' good

I'm ghostridin'
My whip is straight idlin'
Stuntin' like a G
Cuz there ain’t no way to hide it

Ghostride the whip
Gonna take it for a stroll
Ghostride the whip
Walkin’, walkin’, walk and roll
[END CHORUS]

If you trippin’ on yourself
You’ll be chasin’ that whip
Don’t do it like that shawty
Do it like this
You’ll get yourself killed
If you don’t do it right
Throw it down into coast to
Step to the side

Watch it roll on
Watch me campaign
Ghostride around the world
Yeah, I make my own lanes
Droppin’ right in on a one ton wave
Yeah I’m surfin’ on the hood of my Chevrolet

Ride low first class
Nobody sittin’ ‘hind my dash
Don’t drive too fast
You ain’t showin’ out unless you got whiplash

Watch out, I hear the 5-0
Ghost bustas, here come the po po
You think you can catch this
But I know that you won’t
Like Houdini, you see me now you don’t

Uh oh Uh oh
Where they at, where they go?
Uh oh Uh oh
Disappearin’ like a ghost
Kick back on the windshield
Feelin’ so nice
This is how we do it
Ghostride

CHORUS

Woo woo Ghostride the whip
Yeah I’m ridin’ that whip
I’m straight ridin’
Ain’t nobody drivin’
Street ridin’

Chop top, shaved doors
Can’t stop lookin’ at my 24s
Bet you were wishin’ that you could shine like this
You can’t even hate on me cuz you don’t exist

Make room for the captain
I need clear sailin’
Hands off the whip
Unless you're doin' detailin'
Screamin’ like a banshee
When I pop that clutch
Errybody hear me comin'
Cuz I rattle that trunk

Grill's comin’ atcha
Don’t let the ghost catch ya
Nippin’ at your heels
Drivin’ outta control
Even tho you try toYou’ll never do like I do
You wanna ghostride
Cuz I make 'em say whoa

Rawk it,
Megan

Get Daft w/ THESE Punks!

Famous for their robo-helmets and house beats, the duo known as Daft Punk have become an international sensation as musicians, filmmakers, and composers (more on that later). Daft Punk is made up of Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuelb de Homem-Christo, both from France. They met in school, and have gone on to bigger and better things.

Daft Punk albums (Homework, Discovery, and Human After All being the prominent full-lengths) are full of a distinct digital sound, and often are based on a concept. The album Human After All is a prime example, being the tale of a robot's discovery that it is in fact a human. DP also emphasizes instrumentals in their work just as often as tracks with vocals, giving a DP album a soundtrack feel.

Little known fact: Many (if not all) DP tracks are HEAVY on sampling. For an example, check out Edwin Birdsong's track, "Cola Bottle Baby," then check out Daft Punk's "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger."

Daft Punk have also had a hand in producing films, the largest of which was their 2008 release, Electroma, which follows the two members of Daft Punk on their journey to break from the monotony of life. Though not a giant success, it has gone to be a favorite of fans everywhere.

In 2010, Daft Punk will also be composing the entire score for the sequel to Tron. This is their first score, and looks to be VERY promising, based on the parallels between Daft Punk and Tron.

Daft Punk have been IMMENSELY influential, inspiring artists such as Kanye West, who not only sampled from them on his hit, "Stronger," but also played with them live on the 2008 Grammys, Daft Punk's ONLY TV appearance where they've been playing. Another major inspiration? DANCE OR DIE.

Check 'em out, they're amazing.

You think you know FF5

just some random facts about the boys we all know and love.

ChapStique: His favorite star wars movie is Return of the Jedi, He thinks Fanny Packs are "incredible", thinks Little Man was the worst movie ever made, and Milo and Otis was the best.

NaDaddy: Favorite dance move is the Running Man, favorite song from DOD is Radiator, spent hours playing "chip and dale's rescue rangers" on Nintendo, If there was a movie made about FF5 he would want Edward Norton to play him.

Crouton: used to be a hair dresser, "Drama Queen" was written about his old boss, he is in Heaven when he is dancing, he won 2nd place in a dance off at Warped Tour(lost to Katy Perry).

Fatty: had a wood working shop, lives with his parents, has a plate collection which is one of the inspirations for "Kountry Gentlemen"

Soul Glow Activatur: if an FF5 song was on Guitar Hero he would want it to be "Love Addict" or "Replace Me", Favorite breakfast cereal is Honey Bunches of Oats, favorite place to eat food on is "the living room chair", his favorite colour is purple.

Lastly, if your an FF5 fan you have probably heard the word "yuns" thrown around a little bit, mostly by NaDaddy and Crouton. The word came from a man working at a gas station. After looking inside FF5's old Van he stated "yuns is packed in their like a bunch of sardines." NaDaddy and Crouts loved it so much they started using it...and then the fans picked it up.

Love "Yuns",
Megan

To be a Radiator just like you...

Alot of people have known about FF5 for four of five years now, They (or should I say "we") have been with The Fam since they were known as he Phamily, Ground Noise, or even as The Brothers! It's easy to say that once a fan of Family Force 5, always a fan.

But, for the baby vinners, you first stumbled across Family Force 5 after being trapled on at Wapred tour, and you landed by their stage, or went to go watch 3OH!3 at the AP Tour and noticed the awesome talent from FF5.

Did you notice at the AP Tour, that most of the bands where cussing and flipping people off? Of course, this was meant to be funny, and being in High School or College, you are also used to it or even say these words. But, if you reeeally paid attention, never, not ONCE did Family Force 5 cuss. Why is that? What's the deal?

Many people who know Family Force 5 from these tours don't know this reason. Well, Family Force 5 is Christian! Yup, They are down with Jesus! They aren't neccesarily a Christian Band, but they are as close as you can get!

FF5 is double signed with one secular record company, and another with Tooth and Nail Productions, on oif the best Christian record companies out there.

FF5 is very popular with Christians, but Chap Stique says- "We heard this quote one time, and it said 'Christitianity is a beautiful noun, but is no a good adjective.'" The boys think if they are labeled as a Christian band, they couldn't reach out to everyone. They'd rather be known as A band who is Christian.

If you don't believe this, well, just look at these songs!

D-I-E 4 Y-O-U
Face Down
Get Your Back Off the Wall
I Love You to Death
Luv Addict
Never Let Me Go
Supersonic
Wake The Dead,
and yes, even Radiator!

None of these songs say God's name, or Jesus, but trust me, they are definetly glorifin' the Lawd!
Chap Stique once said in an interview "Jesus used to speak in enigmatic parables, we as a band feel that it's important to keep that alive in our songs".

Here are some cool FF5 interviews I found!

Making Music A Ministry

So believe it or not, there is actually another band that kills it (almost) as much as Family Force 5. That band would be Fireflight. You may recall the Scars Remain Tour that FF5 and Fireflight were both on. Musically, Fireflight is a little different than FF5, but spiritually, they both are on the same page. I am constantly searching for bands that have music that edifies what they say they believe and bands that show a true passion for their music to become a ministry instead of having the whole “rock star” image. That is what Fireflight does. I have had the opportunity to see them twice and both times they were at my church. During their live show, they are amazing!!! Rockin out like there is no tomorrow. One thing, that stands out about Fireflight, is the fact that at every show, they read the bible and take the time to make it known that they are there to glorify God and not themselves. If you go to a Fireflight concert, you will get to see them after the show and before the show if your lucky. They are always nice to you and very down to earth. When they have come to my church, I have had the opportunity of helping them set up the stage, merch booth, etc. and they act the same way when no one is around. Fireflight is a group who truly have a passion to reach souls and to throw a party at the same time. So if you get a chance, go see them. Or pick up their newest CD “Unbreakable.” You won’t regret it.

Get GodCentered, Yo!

As we all know, it's hard to get into the music business. Some move to Hollywood, and for those who want to use their God given talents to praise the a Lord, The go to Tennesse. Other than friends, it's hard to tell a lot of people about an upcoming album you're putting out, or if you are headling a show. That's where a little company from Virginia Beach comes in. GodCentered Productions is a networking, production, and promotions company. As a new company, they are looking for new people to support!

They will also help others who's talents aren't music oriented. For the artists, GC P will hook you up with a band looking for artists who need cover art for a new album, and for anyone who teaches the art of dance, they will help you find people willing to learn dance! They can help you with promotional services and make sure your art will be known.

Next Summer, GC P might even start a music festival in Virginia Beach, VA. Much about this festival is on the DL, all we can say is if a headlining band is who GC P is talking to right now, this festival will be HUGE and you will NOT want to miss it!

If you are interested, the dedicated website is http://godcenteredproductions.com . or stalk, (um..er..."follow") them on Twitter at http://twitter.com/GodCenteredPro . The team also has a Myspace and a fanpage on Facebook! be free to stalk/add/fan them!

They may just be new, but they will be bigger than you feel on Thanksgivin' dinner!

Stay Fly with Yo' Black Hair Dye,
Alyssa Brite

"there's more to living than being alive"

I was recently listening to one of my favorite songs by one of my favorite bands. Alexithymia by Anberin. In the song Stephen repeatedly sings "there's more to living than being alive." These lyrics really seemed to pop out at me today. There are so many times when i would walk on to my high school campus and see walking corpses. These people are obsessed with drugs/drinking/gossip/sex/etc. They never venture outside of their social norm and never truelly experience what it is like to live. They choose to party every weekend only to wake up not remembering what happened. It is an endless cycle of abuse that will eventually take them captive. Instead of choosing to drink, it will be a necessity. I have seen this happen too many times.

Those of us who know what it is like to live, and not just be alive, must start showing it. If not were just as guilty as the corpses among us. Don't be afraid to travel outside of your social groups. Make new friends. Experience life.

Ghost Ride the What?!?!

How's it hangin' denizens of this fabulous virtual world called "The Kountry Klub"?

As you all may know, Family Force 5 recently came out with an album on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 called Dance or Die with a Vengeance, but for the sake of saving my poor fingers from writing that repeatidly, let's call it DODW/AV. On the album, there is a brand new song called "Ghost Ride The Whip" For those of you who were (and still are!) fans of Business Up Front, Party in the Back; you will recognize the ghetto krunkness of Family Force 5 as they venture into the Hip Hop world scene for this song. But how did this song come to be? How did they decide to sing a song about ghostridin'? What is ghostriding anyway, and what the HECK is a whip?! What does this song EVEN mean?

Most OG FF5 fans know how straight thuggin' these 5 rowdy rapscallians can be, the Atlanta natives have been influenced by the Hip Hop scene for years. During the making of DODW/AV, the boys started making a beat, but one problem; they didn't have a topic to rap about! The had no idea what subject would partake in this song. But before the song was written, a man came up to them and said:

"Man, you guys seem like you ghost ride the whip! Do you ghost ride the whip?"

At first, the boys were confused as could be! They had no idea what "ghostriding" was, in fact, they took it at an insult at first! FF5 relied on Urbandictionary.com and figured it all out.

According to Urban dictionry, the definition is:

1. Originated in the YAY area (Oakland, San Francisco, San Jose, etc.) it mean for a driver to get out of the car, or whip, and start ... walking along side of it or jumping on the hood, rear, or hood. It looks like a ghost is riding in the drivers seat of the whip.

2. To dance next to or on the top of your hood while the car is still moving. ideally with many friends and Hip Hop Music.

Fmaily Force 5 laughs about this topic because to them, ghostriding sounds silly. They don't recomend you do it, as Soul Glow sings in the song "Gon' gitchya self killed if ya don' do it right" . It isn't worth the harm it could do, and they advise you take this song as more fun than serious, as the boys don't actually ghostride themselves. They decided to write about it because it was hilarious and and ridiculous, and with songs outr like "Kountry Gentleman" and "Drama Queen", we know how much these boys love to write ridiculously funny songs.

Also, many fans have been coming out saying ridiculous things like the song has a couple sexual conotations to it. I can ASSURE you, this song in no way has any sexual meaning to it. The two Olds' brothers are both HAPPILY married, and respect their wives enough to keep the personal relationships between their wives, well, personal.

As the most gangsta song the Fam has ever written, we can't wait to hear what else the boys can come up with.

Stay Fly with Yo' Black Hair Dye,
Alyssa Brite.

The Beginning...

Wassup, you Force Punks? This is Jackozord, the crazy dude behind the cultural phenomenon known as POW Blogs. (Ok, maybe it's no phenomenon...) I've created this site to function as a home for all Family Force 5 fans across the globe. I believe that there are some great sites out there, but there's something missing, right?

Well, I don't mean to be condescending (so please don't take it that way), but I think I've found it. All of the Family Force 5 fan sites are exclusive to Family Force 5 information. Though this is FANTASTIC for those looking at information concerning FF5, it may leave a lot of people out in the cold and become a little dull after awhile. Also, I've seen a few areas that look like paparazzi for the boys. I want no part of that.

So, here at the Kountry Klub, I'm envisioning a site where we not only discuss FF5, but we discuss anything their fans would like! So, instead of only having FF5 posts, I may post about Daft Punk, a major influence of the Dance or Die album. I just want new stuff for FF5 fans to discover.

Now, for the major change. Most FF5 sites around have one author. Yet, as the cliche states, "two heads are better than one." I'm going to take that route, but make it a little better. I'm thinking TEAM. Yeah, multiple individuals all dedicated to creating a site that someone can make their homepage, and never get bored when they load their browser.

So, I'm holding a competition! To ensure I get some great authors for this thing, the competitors will have to submit two articles/blog posts. The first will be about FF5, and the second will be about something having nothing to do with the boys that FF5 fans will enjoy. The articles will be judged by their creativity and entertainment value. After reviewing the submissions, I will determine the number of authors and who they are.

Please send the articles to: powblogs AT gmail DOT com

I hope you all think this is a good idea, and try for the author-ship! I can't wait to see what y'all cook up!

As always, Keep it Crunk.
